Savannah, GA — TBD — Author Chris Allen has announced The Line Below, an upcoming subterranean horror novel set in the maze of tunnels beneath New York City. When five transit workers follow a routine call into a stretch of track that appears on no schematic and no map, the way back closes behind them — and something in the dark begins to hunt.

Trapped far beneath the streets, cut off from radio and daylight, the five are left with failing lamps, a tunnel that should not exist, and the growing certainty that whatever shares it with them has been waiting a very long time. As the hours stretch and the group begins to fracture, the question stops being how to get out and becomes how many of them the line will let leave.
