Three Wishes Left
Careful what you wish for. The Wish Keeper is listening.
Lucas Bell only wants what his best friend Eli seems to have. Then an old fortune machine at Galaxy Arcade offers him three wishes, and every one of them works.
The Wish Keeper's rule
It cannot give. It can only take and move.
The story
Every wish comes true. That is the problem.
Nothing appears out of nowhere. If Lucas gets something, it had to come from somewhere.
Lucas Bell is tired of watching his best friend Eli have everything he wants. So when an out-of-order fortune machine at Galaxy Arcade lights up and offers him three wishes, he does not think twice.
The first wish works. Lucas's life gets better, just like he asked. But the Wish Keeper does not make anything new. Whatever it hands to Lucas, it has to take from someone else.
Now the wishes are piling up, the cost is getting harder to ignore, and Lucas has to figure out what the machine really wants before he runs out of wishes, or something worse runs out on him.
Inside Galaxy Arcade
The machine was marked out of order.
Behind scratched glass sits a wooden moon with closed eyes, a smile that stretches too far, and brass hands folded patiently beneath its face. Gold letters across the cabinet spell out its name. It has been waiting a long time for someone to play.
Three tokens. Three prices.
How many would you spend?
The First Wish
Feels like a miracle. Everything Lucas wanted, right where he wanted it.
The Second Wish
Feels like a fix. Because by now, something has already gone missing.
The Last Wish
The Wish Keeper has been waiting for this one. Lucas just does not know why yet.
